We come alongside the Haitian people to help them attain a sustainable life and a real hope for the future
My wife and I currently attend North Country Christ the King Church, where we are trying to become more active within our community. We are currently expanding our role within missions and Christ’s Kingdom, and what that looks like for us. I specifically enjoy using my talent with computers and technology to further God’s kingdom. I also feel that I have skills in communication, leadership and encouragement, that I am working on growing within myself to help others.

I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and professed Jesus Christ as my Savior at twenty. Willie and I became very interested in missions when we attended Overlake Christian Church in Kirkland. We went on two mission trips to Spain while there. In 2011 we moved to Lynden and continued our love for missions in our support for New Generation Ministries. I have served on the council of NCCTK for six years and the Missions Team during that time. Jim Cloo

My first trip to Haiti was in 2010, the year we retired from our business. My heart was forever changed. Beautiful people with huge needs and the biggest one is not knowing Jesus. Since 2006 we have been strong supporters of the New Generation mission of Provision, Equipping, Assisting, Caring and Educating. Have witnessed huge strides in bringing the gospel to several communities, churches, schools, medical clinic, dental clinic, and transitional houses.

I have been on the Board of Directors since mid-2018, but began volunteering with New Generation Ministries in 2012 after traveling to Haiti for the first time on a Vision and Learning trip. Since then I have enjoyed being involved in many different aspects of the ministry like; fundraiser events, processing donations, and restructuring the accounting system in order to build better reporting tools. I have traveled to Haiti three times and am eager to return.

My mother introduced me to the Lord Jesus at age 7 but I would consider my action evidenced faith real in my late 40s. My growing passion through the years for the lost and hurting people of the world has led me to serve our Lord wherever I feel He has called me, which is in part to the Haitian people, to come alongside them in association with NG ministries for the last 10 years, and to dedicate business resources to help grow the kingdom of our Lord.

I am excited to use my skills and experiences as a member of the New Generation Haiti Board of Directors. I bring degrees in Economics and Education, work experience in business analysis, marketing, and retail management, and on the ground experience in Haiti that has led to the development of numerous relationships and understanding of the Haitian Creole language. I have dedicated much of my time, and plan on being involved in Haiti for the rest of my life.

Currently, I am President and CEO of Lynden Sheet Metal in Lynden WA. I became aware of New Generations Ministry through Mike Leland, several years ago, while he was working as a contractor. I started out with monthly support, did a small peanut butter drive, and we helped with supplies and equipment to expand the orphanage. We have attended fundraisers over the years. With God's blessings we have been able to provide larger financial support to this ministry.
